15 June Day 3 back in the US -Las Vegas

Saturday in Vegas and a show tonight with Celine Dion

The weather in Las Vegas is fairly even-no rain and hot days. It is in the desert after all. Apparently it rains in in August and September with on average 9 showers.

We explored some other areas of Las Vegas today taking the shuttle north to Fremont Street. This street is a covered mall for four blocks or so.

We stopped at Bellagio which has acres of grounds including these water fountains which display every hour during the day and every half hour at night. It is a spectacular sight at night. Bellagio has a flower courtyard out the back. This is covered and air conditioned and has a greenhouse with birds.

Tonight we went to see Celine Dion. Her concert is without doubt one of the best shows we have ever seen. It is a spectacle of light and sound with a 30 piece orchestra. She has an incredible voice and was impressive when she sang without accompaniment. Cameras or photos were not allowed......more is the pity.
